Two brothers.

Baker FloorCraft isn’t a franchise or a crew of subcontractors. It’s Jim and David Baker — and the floors they leave behind.
The story
Raised on sawdust.
Between them, Jim and David Baker have spent half a century on their knees learning what wood floors want. Oak and maple, walnut and reclaimed barn stock — and, above all, the centuries-old heart pine that most crews won’t touch.
They built the business the old way: one honest floor at a time, on referrals from people who ran their hand across the finish and felt the difference. No sales office, no showroom — this is a show-up service. The same two hands that walk your job and quote it are the ones kneeling on it the day it’s sanded.
It means fewer jobs at once, and a name on the work that they answer for personally. That’s the whole point.

We walk the finished floor with you board by board. If it isn’t right, it isn’t finished.
The tools & the crew
Old machines, kept honest.
The heart of the operation is a Lägler Hummel — the German belt sander professionals swear by — kept tuned and running for cut after flawless cut. It’s the difference between a floor that’s flat and one that only looks it.
And yes — quality control includes at least one four-legged inspector.
